R. J. Noble Company has always been concerned about environmental issues and has been at the forefront of solutions to protect California for over fifty years. Several dedicated members of the R. J. Noble staff are on the environmental committee of the Asphalt Pavement Association.
Meetings are held every two months to discuss issues and solutions such as Proposition 65, South Coast Air Quality Management District Fugitive Dust Rules, California Air Resource Board Regulations, and Toxic Emissions and Storm Water Controls.
R.J. Noble Company's asphalt plants utilize state-of-the-art emissions control equipment. Among these are Blue Smoke controls, where the captured air is circulated through an elaborate filtraton system, which reduces hydrocarbons in the air. The plants also have modern, low-emission natural gas burners. The Orange Plant is one of the few aphalt plants in Southern California to have a South Coast Air Quality Management District approved ACEMS System. This system and method of continual emission monitoring helps keep our environment clean.
The photos above show only a few of our many environmental measures and dust management initiatives.
