R.J. Noble Company manufacturers rubberized asphalt at both of its asphalt batch plants. With a portable rubber plant capable of making rubber through the wet process, blending rubber with asphalt oil, and a dry rubber system at the Orange facility where rubber is blended with the aggregate in the pug mill. Both the wet and the dry process produce a longer lasting paving that reduces noise.
The addition of rubber to asphalt allows the pavement to expand and contract resisting the causes of cracking as well as stopping water from penetrating and creating potholes. With a large portion of the rubber used in this process coming from used tires it allows R.J. Noble to make a superior pavement, and have the opportunity to recycle and help our environment.
