• Cost Analyst/Project Coordinator (San Diego)

    Job Overview

    The Cost Analyst/Project Coordinator is responsible for processing and evaluating project expenses through research and analysis. The employee will be responsible for performing administrative support for the project management team.

    Duties and responsibilities
    • Collect and enter daily timesheets into a job-costing computer software (B2W)
    • Perform analysis on daily costs, enter daily costs onto a spreadsheet, and inform Superintendents on how they did the day before
    • Email/Fax Timesheets to the Foreman and send out the crew list daily
    • Offer administrative support to the project management team
    • Upload Jobs into VP/B2W
    • Generate T&Ms/CORs; making sure all invoices are attached and upload COR items manually in VP
    • Read job specs and complete the job checklist after contract award
    • Apply for RR permits and City/Caltrans ROW permits

    Required Education and Experience

    Education:
    • High School diploma, working towards a bachelor’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Engineering preferred)

    Experience:
    • One year in the construction field preferred

  • Commercial Driver, Class A (DAY SHIFT: OC/Corona/San Diego)

    Job Overview

    Driver who possesses a California Commercial Driver License, class A. He/she meets the physical requirements set by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and is able to work long hours. Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight on board.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Demonstrate full competency in safe driving the assigned vehicle.
    • Drive vehicles with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 lbs.
    • Pull towed weight exceeding 20,000 lbs.
    • Perform a thorough inspection of vehicle before and after each shift.
    • Responsible for tire inflation by using tire gauge and recommended PSI.
    • Responsible for checking assigned vehicle fluids.
    • Reports all defects to maintenance supervisor.
    • Track and report hours via Telematics system PeopleNet.
    • Maintain communication with dispatch throughout the assigned shift.
    • Adhere to company’s safety standards.
    • Responsible for completing and submitting administrative paperwork.

    Qualifications

    • Must have current California Commercial Driver License, class A/B.
    • Current Medical Card issued by an approved medical examiner.
    • 1+ year of experience (preferred).
    • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
    • Have strong communication skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to read and write.

  • Yard Helper (OC Plant)

    Job Overview

    The yard helper is responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness in the construction yard and other areas as required; provides support and performs general construction labor tasks as required.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Maintaining construction yard and facilities cleanliness through shoveling, sweeping and general labor-intensive duties. These duties will vary depending on the season
    • Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment
    • May work with hand tools, power tools and small heavy equipment
    • May operate commercial vehicle
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

    Work Environment

    Exposure to dust, fumes and normal outdoor elements.
