    Job Overview

    In this role, you will maintain the commercial vehicle fleet by inspecting vehicles and repairing and replacing parts. Duties include performing work specified on maintenance and repair orders, diagnosing and repairing, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning.

    This includes experience in performing preventative maintenance, repair, and upgrades to optimize efficiency, increase productivity, and assure safety.

    Duties and responsibilities

      • Follow and adhere to all safety rules, training, and best practices at all times.
      • Demonstrate complete technical understanding and ability to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and electrical controls, instrumentation, pneumatic, lubrication, and systems and components.
      • Ensure all paperwork and digital information is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with all required information.
      • Attend and practice all required training.
      • Perform preventive maintenance techniques on equipment to enhance uptime conditions.
      • Complete preventative maintenance and other reliability tasks, assist in diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds of machines; partner with others on non-routine repairs and defect handling solutions.
      • Utilize root cause analysis thought process to ensure the sustainability of corrective actions and/or improvements to drive asset reliability.

      Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot:

      • Fuel Systems
      • Electrical Systems
      • Hydraulic Systems

      You will be responsible for repairs and general maintenance to all equipment, shop equipment, and trucks in accordance with the company’s quality and efficiency standards.

    Required Competencies

      • Experience in the transportation industry.
      • Computer skills are a plus, but training is provided.

      Other:

      • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.

    Education / Experience:

    • Must have current California Driver License C
    • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
    • Certification from a vocational school or trade school

    Experience:

    • Certification from a vocational school or trade school
    • 1-year experience on trucks, buses, or heavy equipment.
    • Ability to communicate in English.
    • Working knowledge of diesel engines.
    • Familiarity with safety management.

  • Commercial Driver, Class A (DAY SHIFT)

    Job Overview

    Driver who possesses a California Commercial Driver License, class A. He/she meets the physical requirements set by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and is able to work long hours. Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight on board.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Demonstrate full competency in safe driving the assigned vehicle.
    • Drive vehicles with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 lbs.
    • Pull towed weight exceeding 20,000 lbs.
    • Perform a thorough inspection of vehicle before and after each shift.
    • Responsible for tire inflation by using tire gauge and recommended PSI.
    • Responsible for checking assigned vehicle fluids.
    • Reports all defects to maintenance supervisor.
    • Track and report hours via Telematics system PeopleNet.
    • Maintain communication with dispatch throughout the assigned shift.
    • Adhere to company’s safety standards.
    • Responsible for completing and submitting administrative paperwork.

    Qualifications

    • Must have current California Commercial Driver License, class A/B.
    • Current Medical Card issued by an approved medical examiner.
    • 1+ year of experience (preferred).
    • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
    • Have strong communication skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Job Overview

    The yard helper is responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness in the construction yard and other areas as required; provides support and performs general construction labor tasks as required.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Maintaining construction yard and facilities cleanliness through shoveling, sweeping and general labor-intensive duties. These duties will vary depending on the season
    • Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment
    • May work with hand tools, power tools and small heavy equipment
    • May operate commercial vehicle
